Flavors of Patrimonio: Honey & Wine Artisans
Your experience begins in the heart of Patrimonio with a private visit to the Carli family honey estate, where generations of beekeeping traditions are preserved with care. Discover the art of Corsican apiculture and how the island’s diverse flora gives each honey its unique character. Enjoy a refined tasting that highlights delicate aromas and authentic flavors, offering a true reflection of the land. Committed to excellence, Pierre Carli produces AOP Corsican honey in partnership with the Altiani breeding station, contributing to the preservation of the native Corsican black bee. With over 300 carefully selected colonies, the estate crafts outstanding AOP honeys, from fragrant maquis to robust chestnut, each expressing Corsica’s rich natural heritage.
The journey continues to the prestigious Domaine Orenga de Gaffory, set amidst one of Corsica’s most renowned wine-growing regions. Spanning 56 hectares of exceptional terroir, the estate embodies a harmonious balance between ancestral know-how and contemporary vision. Welcomed by a passionate and knowledgeable team, you will gain insight into the philosophy that guides this iconic domain.
A guided visit of the wine cellar (chai) introduces you to the estate’s organic-certified wines and the deep-rooted heritage of Patrimonio’s winemaking tradition. This is followed by an intimate wine tasting, where you will savor carefully selected cuvées, celebrated for their depth, finesse, and authentic sense of place. The tasting is elegantly accompanied by a selection of artisanal Corsican charcuterie and local cheeses, thoughtfully chosen to enhance each wine.
Weather permitting, the experience concludes with a gentle stroll through one of the vineyard parcels, offering a closer connection to the landscape and a deeper understanding of the natural elements that give these wines their distinctive character. Your experience concludes with a drive back to the yacht.
