A Taste of Art and Wine in Urla
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Çeşme to Urla, a town celebrated for its creative spirit and relaxed Aegean atmosphere. Upon arrival, you will visit Arkas Arts Urla, a contemporary art museum housed in a striking stone-faced building recognized for its architecture. Inside, explore a curated selection from the Arkas Collection, founded by Lucien Arkas, featuring European paintings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries, historical armour, Renaissance tapestries, Anatolian carpets, and classical sculptures thoughtfully displayed throughout the galleries.
Continuing onward, you will travel to USCA Winery, set among rolling vineyards and olive groves in the Urla wine region. Here, you will explore the vineyard setting before enjoying a guided tasting, sampling a selection of locally produced wines while learning about the winery’s philosophy, grape varieties, and the characteristics of the region’s terroir. Your tasting is accompanied by an assortment of local snacks and cheeses, allowing you to savor the flavors of the Aegean in an elegant countryside setting before a relaxed drive back to Çeşme.
Notes: At Arkas Arts Museum, guests should expect approximately 25 steps. Surfaces may be rough or uneven in certain areas. Wheelchairs may be folded and stowed under the vehicle however, this tour is not suitable for confined guests. The drive to and from Arkas Arts Urla is approximately 45 minutes each way. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, along with a hat and sunglasses during warmer months.
A minimum number of participants is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity.
