Depart the pier and transfer to the historic De Koninck Brewery, founded in 1833 and long regarded as a cornerstone of Antwerp’s beer heritage. Upon arrival, begin an interactive visit through the brewery’s museum, where exhibits and original brewing equipment trace the evolution of Belgian beer traditions. Learn how De Koninck’s signature “Bolleke” became a symbol of the city, and follow the step-by-step brewing process from raw ingredients to fermentation and maturation.
Continue into the cellar for an exclusive private tasting led by a knowledgeable beer expert. Sample a curated selection of five De Koninck beers, each presented with detailed tasting notes that highlight aroma, balance, and character. The tasting is accompanied by carefully paired bites, including cheese, meat, and chocolate, allowing you to experience how flavors complement and contrast. This guided session offers direct insight into craftsmanship, ingredients, and brewing techniques.
This experience combines heritage, technique, and flavor in an in-depth introduction to one of Belgium’s most respected breweries. Following the tasting, enjoy free time to browse the brewery shop before returning to the yacht.
Notes: Guests must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this experience. The tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Portions of the brewery visit may include industrial-style flooring and internal stairs typical of a working brewery environment. Guests with dietary restrictions or allergies are kindly requested to inform in advance.
