Departing from Warrenpoint, guests travel by motorcoach to Mrs. C’s Home Kitchen. The journey leads through the surrounding countryside toward the private home setting where the experience takes place. Upon arrival, guests enter a working kitchen environment where preparations for the session are already underway, including baked goods arranged in advance. The setting provides a clear introduction to the domestic space in which the bread-making experience will take place, with views of the surrounding Mourne Mountains visible from the property.
The experience continues with a hands-on traditional bread-making session focused on wheaten bread, using locally sourced and homegrown ingredients. Under step-by-step guidance, guests take part in the preparation process, observing key techniques and methods used in traditional baking. Attention is given to ingredient handling, mixing, and preparation, with instruction centered on achieving consistent results. As the session progresses, guests observe the baking process while remaining within the kitchen setting, with opportunities to ask questions and follow each stage of production.
Following the demonstration and preparation, guests sample the finished bread alongside a selection of locally prepared treats, accompanied by tea and coffee. Time is allocated to enjoy the tastings within the kitchen environment before departure. After the experience concludes, guests return by motorcoach to Warrenpoint, where the SeaDream yacht awaits.
Notes: The transfer time to and from the venue is approximately 75 minutes each way. Comfortable, waterproof, and warm clothing is recommended. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
