Start your exhilarating experience at the port in Cannes, where you select your classic convertible car and receive a briefing before setting out in convoy, accompanied by lead and following vehicles. The route first heads toward Mandelieu-La Napoule, leaving the waterfront behind for quieter country roads. As the drive continues inland, you travel through pine-scented landscapes and open stretches of road, experiencing the Côte d’Azur from behind the wheel of a fully restored classic car, such as a Jaguar E-Type, Mercedes Pagoda, Porsche, Mustang, or similar model.
Your first stop is at Lac de Saint-Cassien, where you pause for coffee, tea, or a soft drink. After the break, you may be introduced to a different car, if desired, before continuing through the Estérel forests. This scenic section offers dramatic natural views as the route climbs through wooded terrain and continues toward Tanneron, a traditional Provençal village set in the hills. Here, you stop at a local boulangerie for another refreshment break before beginning the return drive.
For the final leg, you follow a southeasterly route along picturesque roads leading back toward Cannes. The drive gradually descends from the inland hills toward the coast, returning you to the Mediterranean setting of the port and your ship. Upon arrival back in Cannes, you return your classic convertible and conclude the experience with a short farewell, bringing the drive to a smooth close before rejoining your yacht.
Notes: The price of this experience is charged per car, not per person. Each booking includes one car and accommodates up to 2 guests. Guests may be required to walk a short distance on the pier to reach the cars. In order to participate, guests must meet the following limits: maximum height: 203 cm (6 feet 8 inches); maximum weight: 127 kg (280 lbs) maximum. A waiver is required to sign in order to participate in this tour. Drivers are required to carry a valid driver’s license and will be asked by the onboard team, once the voyage begins, to confirm whether they prefer to drive an automatic or manual transmission car. Guests do not choose the specific car; they only request the type of transmission. Vehicles are assigned on the day of the excursion, and specific models cannot be guaranteed. The tour is self-driving, with a lead car and a following car, and driver/guides positioned in the front and rear vehicles. The convoy follows a regular pace, and guests are required to follow the lead of the group at all times; this is not a fast-paced experience. During the experience, you may have the opportunity to exchange your classic car with fellow participants, should both parties agree. The driving time is approximately 3 hours, although this may be affected by traffic conditions. The itinerary and driving pace may be adjusted locally based on traffic, weather, road conditions, or operational requirements. Air conditioning may not be available in all cars, and as most vehicles are convertibles, guests should be prepared for sun exposure, wind, and seasonal temperatures. All vehicles are convertibles and are equipped with a roof that can be raised if weather conditions require. Comfortable clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended. Guests should also wear suitable footwear for driving; high heels or open-back sandals are not recommended for drivers. Storage space in the vehicles may be limited, so guests should avoid bringing large bags. Guests who are under the influence of alcohol, or who appear otherwise unfit to drive, will not be permitted to participate in the driving portion of the tour for safety reasons, and no refund will be given. Guests who plan to drive must not consume alcohol before or during the driving portion of the tour.
This Yachting Land Adventure must be confirmed no later than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival in port; bookings may still be accepted after this deadline, up to the time of arrival, if space is available. Please note that cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival in port are non‑refundable. A minimum number of participants is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity. Please book on the Seadream.com website, or onboard, early to avoid disappointment. All adventures in the SeaDream Yachting Land Adventures program are subject to change.
