Yachting Land Adventure

Mycenae & Wine Tasting

Enjoy a scenic drive through Nafplion and past the ancient sites of Tiryns and Argos to reach to the ruins of Mycenae. The first in-depth excavations were carried out by the German archaeologist Heinrich Schlieman in 1876 who was obsessed with finding the grave of King Agamemnon. His diligent work exposed the famous Lions Gate, the entrance to the city which contains the shaft burial graves of some ancient nobles. A short distance away is the Beehive Tomb, named after the shape of its roof.

Continue the journey for the opportunity to visit a local winery, to taste a variety of local wines. Upon arrival at the winery, the winery’s sommelier presents
the underground cellars plus a brief introduction about wine-making at the site. Enjoy receiving a bottle of wine as “memento” prior to boarding the motor coach for the drive back to Nafplion port and the SeaDream yacht.
