Meet the Crew: Q&A with Chef Elton

Chef Elton

As part of our dedication to the perfect yachting journey, we would like to introduce you to the people who make us #1 for our award-winning service on the seas. This week we are pleased to introduce you to Chef Elton on board SeaDream I. Chef Elton joined SeaDream in 2021 and has quickly established himself as a guest favorite. His Chef’s Walks in St. Tropez and Amalfi in his beloved Italy are thoroughly entertaining as he walks with you through the cobbled streets. If you’ve ever taken a transatlantic journey with Elton, you know that his cooking demonstrations are unsurpassed, as he prepares his famous risotto and tiramisu right before your eyes. When he’s not on board, Elton enjoys traveling and visiting friends and family.

Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?

A: I love Cuba, Puerto Rico, and all of the smaller islands. The locals, the nature, the flavors, and the beaches, and no two islands are alike.

Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?

A: Any of the Greek islands, as I used to travel with my family throughout Greece as a child. This beautiful Mediterranean country brings lots of sweet memories.

Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?

A: Attention to detail, intimacy, and an engaging way of interacting with all our guests.

Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?

A: I love having a close and personalized approach with our guests, especially when it comes to cuisine. Because we travel to such small islands, we are able to shop at local farmer’s markets and infuse our dishes with the flavors of the destinations we visit. This allows for a more authentic experience.
