Depart the Soufriere dock for a short drive through the town of Soufriere to the Tet Paul Nature trail. Tet Paul Nature Trail is a guided hike providing many stunning photo opportunities, so don’t forget to bring along a camera! There’s something for everyone on the Tet Paul hike. Culture, history, exotic horticulture and spectacular landscapes can all be found on this scenic Yachting Land Adventure.
The views from the Tet Paul Nature Trail have been described as absolutely heavenly. From the majestic Pitons to the far away Island of St. Vincent, you can see from points along the trail. The gorgeous Southern side of St. Lucia including Jalousie Bay is easily visible along the way. You can even see Fond Gens Libre, Choiseul, Maria Island, and the town of Vieux Fort. The trail is lined with traditional medicinal plants and trees. Also, in residence are several species of exotic fruit trees. **Kaye Kassav: Known in English as the Cassava House, this is where you can learn about the Amerindian art of Cassava production. You will even get the opportunity to try some hands-on practice!
At the Traditional House along the Tet Paul Trail, visitors have the chance to learn how the ancestors of the residents of St Lucia lived. Local residents dedicated to preserving their heritage take visitors on a trip through time as they explain the cultural history. After you have completed the trail, spend some relax time enjoying local refreshments and snacks, before heading back to the Soufriere docks and the yacht.
Notes
Persons prone to motion sickness are required to take the necessary precautions prior to the tour as the roads are winding and bumpy. All persons participating in this tour, must be in good health and physical condition and not suffering from heart, respiratory, back, leg, hip or neck conditions. Buses are smaller in size, seats are smaller, space and leg room is limited.
**The Cassava House is currently under renovation and a optional beach stop is added in the interim at the end of the tour.
The terrain is uneven, dirt trails, rocky and steps throughout the trail. Trail may be muddy if it has been raining and inclines can be described as moderate to steep depending on your fitness level. There is limited shade on the Nature Trail. Bring your camera, sunscreen, hat and Insect repellent if allergic to the tropics. A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity. All adventures in the SeaDream Yachting Land Adventures program are subject to change. Final departure times will be published on-board. Tour Timing Itinerary may vary depending on traffic on the day.
