Guests depart the pier for the short transfer to Royal Portrush Golf Club, one of Northern Ireland’s most established links courses. Upon arrival, guests proceed to the clubhouse and prepare for their scheduled tee time on the Valley Links course. This 18-hole course is set among coastal dunes, where fairways follow the natural contours of the landscape and offer continuous views of the Atlantic coastline. The layout requires considered shot placement and accuracy, with each hole presenting distinct terrain shaped by wind and elevation.
Guests continue their round across the Valley Links, progressing through a sequence of holes set within rolling dunes and open coastal terrain. Fairways run parallel to the shoreline in places, with changing wind conditions influencing play throughout the course. After completing all 18 holes, guests return to the clubhouse, where time is available to relax and remain at the club before regrouping. Guests then depart Royal Portrush and return to the pier, concluding the tour.
Notes: This tour involves an extensive level of activity and must be booked in advance to secure tee times; it is non-refundable once booked. Golf buggies are not included; they are available only with a medical certificate and incur an additional cost. Proper golf attire is required, including polo shirts, golf trousers or shorts, and golf shoes. The following are not permitted: denim jeans, tracksuits or athletic joggers, t-shirts or sleeveless shirts, football or rugby tops, cargo shorts or combat-style trousers, and non-golf footwear such as trainers, running shoes, sandals, or flip flops. Royal Portrush operates as a traditional golf club with established etiquette and pace-of-play expectations, and these are strictly enforced. Practice areas and clubhouse facilities may be shared with other golfers. The course is set within a natural coastal environment where birds and native vegetation are present.
