This Danish town sits on the northeastern coast of northern Denmark’s Jutland peninsula. A fishing village during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Frederikshavn (“Frederik’s Harbor”) boasts a rich military history, as seen through the eyes of the Bangsbo Fort and its accompanying museum.
